Applications in your community chat
Build application forms players fill out on your community page, then approve or deny them. Accepted players can get a chat role.
On this page
Applications let players apply to your community, for example to join your staff or a whitelisted server. You build the form, players fill it out on your community page, and your staff approve or deny each one. This is the website version of the Discord bot's applications, and it works for communities without a Discord server too.
Before you start#
To give accepted players a role, make the role first in your chat's settings (Chat settings › Roles on your community page). See Community chat.
Set it up#
Give it a Name and, if you like, Text above the questions.
For each one, pick the Answer type and tick Required if it must be answered. Press + Add a question for more, up to 20. Leave a question empty to remove it.
Open forms show under Help › Applications in the Chat tab of your community page.

| Paragraph | Several lines, up to 2,000 characters. | — |

You can have up to 10 forms. Deleting a form keeps the applications already sent.
Reviewing applications#
Staff get a notice for each new application. The Waiting list on Applications shows the answers and a link to the player's profile. Add a Note to the player if you like, then press Approve or Deny. Each application is decided once.
The player gets a notice with the result and your note. When you approve and the form has a role, they get the role in your chat right away. A player can't apply to the same form again while one is waiting or after they were accepted.
Troubleshooting#
The role I want isn't in the list#
You can only put a role on a form if you could give it yourself: owners can give any role, others need Manage roles in the chat and every permission the role has.
A player says they can't apply#
The form shows why on its page: it's closed, they already applied, they were accepted, or they're still waiting after a denial.
