Live player displays and stats embed
Show your game server's player count and total playtime in channel names, and keep a live stats embed with players, map and weather updated in Discord.

Live displays put your server's status where members see it without asking. The Players Online
Display renames a voice channel or category to show who's on, like 🟢 Players Online 2/8. The
Overall Playtime Display shows how many hours have been played on your server. And the Auto
Server Stats Embed keeps one message in a channel up to date with your server's name, status,
players, map, weather and more.
Before you start#
- Your server must be added to Farm Sim Game first. See Add your game server.
- Create the channels first. A voice channel works best for name displays. Most servers lock it so members can see it but not join.
- If a channel is missing from a list, run
/setupin Discord, choose Update Channels and Roles for Website, then reload the page.
Discord only allows a channel's name to be changed 2 times every 10 minutes. When players join or leave faster than that, the bot waits and then shows the latest count, so a name display can be up to 10 minutes behind on a busy server. Give each display its own channel.
Set it up#
Go to Game servers and click the green pencil button next to your server.
In Discord Settings, under Game Server Players Online Display, pick a voice channel or category in Players Online Display. With Premium, set a Players Online Channel Title too.
Under Game Server Overall Playtime Display, pick a channel in Overall Playtime Channel and, optionally, a Channel Label.
In Auto Embed Settings, set Auto Embed Update to Enabled and pick an Auto Embed Update Channel. Under Embed Updates Content, switch on what you want to show.
Click Save Server Settings.
Players Online Display#
The bot renames the channel to a status dot, a title and the player count:

The name updates when the bot reads new data from your server, about once a minute, within Discord's rename limit. A newly picked channel won't change until the bot sees an update from your server, such as a player joining.
Overall Playtime Display (Premium)#
Shows the total hours every player has spent on your server, including people playing right now,
for example Overall Playtime » 1.5k h.

- The name updates once an hour. After you save, it changes on the next hourly update.

Auto Server Stats Embed (Premium)#
The bot posts one embed in your channel and then edits it with fresh stats, so the channel always shows your server's current state.

Embed Update Status below the channel tells you how it's doing. Embed Good. means it's working, followed by when it last updated. See Troubleshooting for the other messages.
Embed Updates Content#
Switch on what the embed shows. The embed title is always your server name, linked to its profile on FarmSimGame.com, with your server image as the thumbnail and your short name in the footer.

Every embed also ends with Last Game Server Update and Server Tracking By. With savegame scanning on, it also shows Last Savegame Update. Savegame scanning is set up in Extended Settings with your server's web login (see Power manager).
While your server is offline, the embed shrinks to Status (if switched on), Last Server Update, Last Game Server Update and Server Tracking By.
How often it updates#
The embed is refreshed about every 60 seconds, each time the bot has new data from your server. Discord limits how many requests a bot can send each second, across every Discord server it's in. At busy times the bot spaces embed updates out so none fall behind: servers that just went online or offline go first, then the ones waiting longest. Your embed may then update every few minutes instead of every minute.

Without the right tier, the edit page shows "With premium enabled this feature can be more customizable." or "This is a premium feature." See Premium.
Troubleshooting#
The Players Online channel doesn't change#
- Give the bot Manage Channels. A channel override can block it even if the role has it.
- Wait. Discord allows only 2 renames every 10 minutes per channel, and the name only changes when the bot gets new data from your server.
- Check your server shows Online on its edit page. The bot can only count players while it can read your Link XML.
The Overall Playtime channel doesn't change#
- It updates once an hour, so give it time after saving.
- Give the bot Manage Channels.
- Your Discord server needs Silver or higher.
Embed Update Status shows a problem#

I changed the embed channel and the old embed is still there#
The bot can't delete the old embed when you change channels. Delete it yourself.
The embed stopped updating#
Check Embed Update Status first. If the bot lost track of its message, the page's tip is to reset it: pick a different channel, save, then pick the channel you want and save again.
Weather, time or fill type highs don't show#
These need savegame scanning to be on and working. Check Last Savegame Update in Extended Settings on the edit page.
