Farm Sim Game Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information FarmSimGame.com, the Farm Sim Game app, and the Farm Sim Game Discord bot (the "Service") collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Sargent Interactive LLC ("we", "us"), which is responsible for your personal information. We don't use automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we don't use Discord message content to train AI models.

2. Who Can See Your Information

Other users: your Discord name and avatar appear next to content you post. Public server pages and rankings show in-game player names. Detailed player data (positions, play history) is only shown to that server's staff (the people who run its community), and to you for your own in-game players once the server's staff link them to your account.
FarmLink: other signed-in players see your FarmLink profile only if you choose to be listed. Chat messages are seen by the people in that conversation. A server's managers see the farm claims made on their server, and approved claims show on your profile.
Service providers that run parts of the Service for us: Stripe (payments), Discord (login and the bot), Google and Meta (Facebook) for signing in if you choose them, Google (only if you allow it; see section 4), and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver app push notifications if you turn them on. They may only use your information to provide their service, or under their own privacy policies where they act independently.
When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
If our business changes hands, to the new owner, who must keep this policy's promises.
We do not sell your personal information for money.

3. Supporter Payments

Supporter subscriptions are sold by Sargent Interactive LLC and paid through Stripe's checkout page. Stripe receives your card details and billing information and processes them under the Stripe Privacy Policy. We only receive the payment status, invoices, and the IDs needed to manage your subscription.
Supporting modders. When you support a ModBarn modding team, you pay through Stripe Checkout and the payment is made to the team's own Stripe account. Stripe gives that team the details it needs for the payment, such as your name, email address and the amount, and the team handles them under its own responsibility. We keep your support status, tier, dates, any message you add for the team, whether your name may appear on their supporters wall, and a record of your consent at checkout (time, terms version and IP address). The team sees your Farm Sim Game display name, tier and start date unless you hide your name. See the Modder Support Terms.
Modders receiving support. Stripe collects the identity, bank and tax information it needs to pay you. We keep your acceptance of the Modder Support Terms (time, version and IP address) and send your legal name, business type and tax responsibility statement to Sargent Interactive's billing service, which keeps them as a record. We never see your bank details or tax number. Supporters' payment data reaches you through Stripe, and you must use it only for the support they sent.

4. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising and Embedded Videos

We use necessary cookies to keep you signed in, keep your session, and protect forms. Everything else is optional and off until you allow it in the cookie banner or Cookie Settings. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and provider.
Analytics: if you allow it, Google Analytics receives your IP address, device and browser information, a random visitor ID, and the pages you visit, so we can see how the site is used. Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off for Analytics. Google keeps this data under the retention setting of our Analytics property and its own policies.
Advertising: if you allow it, and you are not a supporter, Google AdSense receives the same kind of information and may use it to personalize and measure ads. Some US state privacy laws may treat this as "sharing" personal information or as targeted advertising. You can refuse or withdraw it at any time, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out of it.
Embedded videos: if you allow Functional cookies, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address, browser information, and the page address when a video player loads.
You can withdraw consent at any time in Cookie Settings. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything that happened before.

5. Where Your Information Is Processed

We are based in the United States, and the Service runs on servers in the United States. If you use it from another country, your information is transferred to the US so we can provide the Service you asked for. Where our providers transfer data internationally, they use recognized safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

6. Security

We use HTTPS, encrypt our database at rest, limit who can access personal information, and delete login sessions and security records on the schedule above. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, or export it. You can also object to how we use it (for example, to your name appearing on server pages and rankings), ask us to restrict its use, and withdraw any consent you gave.
To make a request, email privacy@sargentinteractive.com or open a support ticket on FarmSimGame.com. We may confirm the request comes from you by asking you to sign in with Discord. We respond within 30 days, and we don't charge for requests.
If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer; we'll review it and reply within 45 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
US state privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sharing" of it. Turn off Advertising in Cookie Settings, or use Global Privacy Control, to opt out; you don't need an account. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
You can turn off notification emails in your account settings or with the unsubscribe link in each email. Billing emails about an active subscription can't be turned off.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself on the website under Account › Delete Account, or in the app under My Account › Delete my account. If you can't sign in, email privacy@sargentinteractive.com and we'll do it for you.
You're signed out everywhere right away and hidden from FarmLink. Your account is erased after 7 days; signing in again before then cancels the deletion.
We erase your profile, favorites, farm claims, Farm Job posts, ratings, comments, notifications, email settings, and support tickets. Chat messages you sent stay in other people's conversations so they still make sense, but they show as "Deleted user". We keep billing records for as long as described above, and moderation reports.
If you have an active supporter subscription, cancel it first. If you lead a ModBarn team or have published ModBarn mods, hand them over or contact support first.
Farms you keep in the app's My Farm are on your phone only. Delete them in the app (My Farm › Backups & data) or by uninstalling it.

8. Children

The Service is not for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age Discord requires in your country), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we learn that a user is under 13, we close their access and delete their personal information, including their content and any bot records about them, and we keep a note that we did so. Parents or guardians can contact privacy@sargentinteractive.com to ask us to do this.

9. Farm Sim Game Discord Bot

Farm Sim Game Bot only runs the features a Discord server's admins have turned on from the FarmSimGame.com dashboard. Depending on those settings, the bot stores the following in our database:
- Member Information: Your Discord user ID and username, and the server you are in.
- Server Activity: When you join or leave a server, which invite you used, and invite counts and invite-level roles for the members who invited you.
- Moderation Records: Warnings, timeouts, and bans issued to you, including the reason and the moderator who issued them.
- Support Tickets: If a server's staff save a ticket transcript, the messages in that ticket (text, username, user ID, avatar, and time sent) are saved so staff can view the transcript on FarmSimGame.com.
- Applications: If you fill out a server's application through the bot, your answers are saved so that server's staff can review them.
- Supporter Status: In the Farm Sim Game Discord server, your roles are checked against your FarmSimGame.com supporter subscription so supporter roles can be added or removed.
The bot also reads messages to run a server's profanity filter, blocked link filter, Discord invite limiter, auto responses, image-only channels, and counting game. The bot does not save these messages. Messages that break a server's filters, and messages that are edited or deleted, may be posted to a log channel inside that same Discord server if the server has that log turned on.
We do not sell Discord data, share it with third parties except as described in this policy, or use message content to train machine learning or AI models.
To have your bot data deleted, or to ask for a server's data to be deleted after removing the bot, email privacy@sargentinteractive.com or open a support ticket in our Discord server (discord.gg/joinFSG) or on FarmSimGame.com.

10. Farm Sim Game App

One account: the app uses the same account as the website. You sign in through your browser (with Discord, or on Android also Google or Facebook); the app never sees your password. My Farm, mods, and browsing servers and communities work without signing in.
My Farm stays on your phone: the farms, fields, machines, tasks, reminders, and notes you enter in My Farm are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us, and they are deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its data. Backup files you export are saved only where you choose.
FarmLink: when you're signed in, your FarmLink profile, chats, screenshots you attach, Farm Job posts, farm claims, and Quick Match status are stored on our servers to run these features (see section 1).
Notifications: if you turn notifications on, the app checks our servers for new activity while it's open and from time to time in the background. If push notifications are turned on, we store a push token for your phone and send notifications through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging; the token is deleted when you sign out or turn notifications off. Notifications on the lock screen don't show message text.
Sign-in problems: if signing in to the app fails, the app sends us which step failed and a short error message so we can fix it. We keep these notes for 90 days.
No ads or tracking: the app has no ads, no analytics, and no tracking from other companies.
Permissions: the app asks only for notifications (if you turn them on). It doesn't use your location, camera, microphone, or contacts; screenshots you attach are files you pick.

11. Links to Other Sites

The Service links to sites we don't run, such as GIANTS ModHub, Discord, and game server hosts. Their privacy policies apply when you visit them.

12. Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our practices change. For material changes, we'll post a notice on the website and email account holders before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
