Farm claims let players link the farm they play on your game server to their Farm Sim Game account. Once a claim is approved, the player sees that farm's fields, machines, animals, storage, money and suggested jobs on the website (FarmLink > My Farms > Open farm) and in the FSG app, with a shared task list and a farm team chat. You decide how claims work, and the bot can post every claim that needs approval in a Discord channel so your staff never miss one.
This page covers the server owner's side. For what players see, open FarmLink.
Before you start#
- Farms come from your savegame. They appear once the bot has scanned it, so set up Savegame Scan in your server's Extended Settings first. Extended Settings is a supporter feature (see Premium).
- Who counts as a manager? Anyone who can manage your Discord server on Farm Sim Game (the owner, or a member with Administrator or Manage Server) and has used the FSG website in the last 30 days. Opening the server's settings page is enough to be remembered.
- Your game server must already be added. See Add your game server.
Where the farm data comes from#
Each savegame scan reads files from your game server's savegame.
| File | Comes from | What it gives |
|---|---|---|
farms.xml | The base game | Your farms, their money and loans, the statistics used for Daily Farm Stats, and which players are on each farm (with its farm managers) |
fields.xml | The base game | Each field's crop and state: growing, ready to harvest, ready to prepare (haulm topping), withered or harvested, how much it's fertilized, and whether it needs lime, plowing, rolling or weeding |
vehicles.xml | The base game | Machines with brand, power, fuel, DEF, damage, paint, dirt, hours, odometer and loads, plus loose pallets and big bags |
placeables.xml | The base game | Buildings with upkeep, silos and tanks with what's in them, bunker silos, manure heaps, animal pens and their animals, productions and greenhouses with their recipes, wind and solar income, beehives and selling points you own |
items.xml | The base game | Bales lying around the farm |
fieldsStats.xml | FSG Companion mod | Field states with each field's farmland, size and position. When it's there it's used instead of fields.xml |
vehicleStats.xml, animalStats.xml, productionStats.xml, placeableStats.xml, placeableSiloStats.xml | FSG Companion mod | The same kinds of data as the base game files, with sell values. When these are there, they're used instead |
Fields, machines, buildings, storage, animals and productions work on every server, consoles
included, because they come from the base game's own save. Names, tank sizes, silo capacities,
recipes and crop growth stages come from the game's own data. Machine values ("Worth now") use the
game's own sell price rules, before any repair costs. The FSG Companion mod (FS25_FSG_Companion,
PC only) adds exact field sizes, animal values and its own lists where it's installed.
Field owners#
The base game's fields.xml has every field's state but not which farmland it's on, so FSG works
it out. When another server on the same map runs the Companion mod, FSG knows that map's layout
and uses it exactly (with field sizes). Otherwise it uses the farmland nearest each field in the
server's stats feed, which is right for nearly every field.
If a field shows on the wrong farm, a manager can fix it on FarmLink Manage in the Field owners card: enter the farmland number from the in-game map. Corrections stay for every later scan.
Set it up#
You can set up farm claims while adding a server, or any time later.
While adding a server#
In the New Dedicated Server wizard, Step 6 is Farm Stats.
Under How should players get farm stats?, pick one of the presets.
Under Question for players (optional), type something like "What is your in-game name?". Up to 150 characters.
Under Claim alerts, choose a Farm Claims Channel for the bot to post in.
Click Next Step. To decide later, click Skip for now.
Later, on FarmLink Manage#
On Game servers, click the people button next to your server. From the server's settings page, you can also click FarmLink listing settings in its Overview card.
If farm stats aren't set up yet, the Set up farm stats for players card shows the presets. Click one.
In the Farm settings card, change anything you like (see Settings explained).
Under Claim alerts, choose a Discord channel and, if you want, a Role to ping.
Click Save farm settings.
Presets#
Each preset fills in the whole Farm settings form. You can change any of it afterwards.
| Preset | What it does |
|---|---|
| Each team runs its own farm | Players claim their farm. The first player on an empty farm gets in straight away, then the farm's own team or a manager approves newcomers. One farm per player. |
| Everyone plays one co-op farm | Players join the shared farm straight away and see all of its stats, tasks and team chat. |
| Staff approve every player | Players claim the farm they play and a manager checks each one before they see any stats. |
| Public drop-in server | Anyone signed in can follow a farm's stats. No approvals, team chat or profile badges. Money stays hidden. |
| Keep farm stats private | Players can't claim or follow farms here. You can turn it on any time. |
Settings explained#
These are on the Farm settings card of FarmLink Manage.
| Setting | What it does | Default |

| Role to ping (Claim alerts) | A role mentioned with each alert. | No ping |
The claim alert#
The bot checks for new claims every minute. When a player makes a claim that needs approval, the bot posts it in your claim alerts channel:
@Farm Staff A player wants to join a farm on Sunny Acres FS25.
Approve or decline
- Message shows the player's answer to your question, if they wrote one.
- Approve or decline opens the server's FarmLink Manage page on the website.
- Claims that are approved straight away (automatic farms, the first player on an empty farm, a player the save already lists on that farm, or a manager's own claim) aren't posted, because there's nothing to decide.
- Each claim is posted once. Claims made before you picked a channel aren't posted later.
Managers are also told about each claim without Discord: a website notification, an email (Farm Claims in their email settings) and an app notification.
Approve or decline claims#
Click Approve or decline on the alert, or open FarmLink Manage and go to the Farm claims card. The badge at the top shows how many claims are waiting.
Each claim shows the player's name, the farm they want and their answer to your question.
Click Approve or Decline. The player is told either way.
When you approve a claim, the player gets that farm's stats and, if switched on, joins its team chat. To take someone off a farm later, click Remove next to them and confirm.
Managers can also decide claims in the FSG app. With Farm teams approve their own new players on, players already on that farm can approve or decline too.
Players already on the farm in game#
The savegame lists who plays on each farm. When a player's in-game name is linked to their Discord account (Assign Discord User Id on a new player post, see Player tracking), their claim on that farm is approved straight away, without the question or the player limit. Closed farms and players a manager removed still need a manager.
The farm's page shows these players under Players in the game, with its farm managers and when
each one last played. /farm members shows the same list in Discord.
Names and notes for machines and buildings#
Once a claim is approved, the farm's team can give its machines, buildings, silos, productions, animal pens and fields names of their own, and add a note to each one, like "Service due at 500 hours". Open the item on the farm's page on the website or in the app and choose Name it or add a note.
- Everyone who can see the farm sees the names. Only the farm's team sees the notes.
- They're kept by the item's id in the savegame, so they stay with it however the scan lists things. A machine sold to another farm doesn't take its note with it.
- Pallets and loose bales are counted together, so they can't be named.
- With the FSG Server Companion mod, FSG matches the mod's lists back to the savegame by where each item stands (animal pens and productions by name). An item it can't match can't be named until a later scan finds it.
Farm stats on your server profile and in Discord#
Two related settings live on your server's settings page, in Extended Settings under Game Server Farm Stats:
- Farm Stats Public shows each farm's stats on your server's public profile page.
- Daily Farm Stats has the bot post a farm summary in Discord once a day. See Auto posts.
Premium#
Farm claims and claim alerts are free. What they rely on isn't always:
| Feature | Needs |
|---|---|
| Farm claims, claim alerts and FarmLink Manage | Free |
| Savegame Scan (in Extended Settings), which finds your farms | Any supporter tier |
| Daily Farm Stats | Silver or higher |
See Premium.
Troubleshooting#
No farms show up#
Farms appear after your savegame is scanned. Check Savegame Scan is Enabled in your server's Extended Settings, and that Last Savegame Update shows a recent time. Use Test Server Login to check your Server Url, Admin Username and Admin Password.
The bot doesn't post claims#
- Check a Discord channel is picked under Claim alerts and you clicked Save farm settings.
- The bot needs View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in that channel.
- Only claims that need approval are posted. Automatic approvals aren't.
- Claims made before the channel was set aren't posted. Find them in the Farm claims card.
The role isn't pinged#
Make the role mentionable (Server Settings › Roles › your role › Allow anyone to @mention this role), or give the bot Mention Everyone in the alert channel.
"Only a manager of this server's community can decide farm claims."#
You need to be able to manage the Discord server (owner, Administrator or Manage Server) and to have used the FSG website in the last 30 days. Open the server's settings page on the website once, then try again.
Players see no fields#
Fields show after the next savegame scan. Check that Savegame Scan works and that Fields is switched on under What players can see. If a field is on the wrong farm, see Field owners.
