Farm commands (/farm)

Check your FarmLink farm from Discord - money, fields, machines, animals and urgent jobs - and add or finish your team's tasks with /farm.

Players with an approved farm in FarmLink can check it and work with their team's task list right from Discord. It shows the same farm the website and app show, with the same rules your server's staff set.

Before you start#

  • Sign in on the website with your Discord account. That links your Discord to FarmLink.
  • Claim your farm in FarmLink and wait for a server manager to approve it. See Farm stats and claims.
  • The command only shows farms on game servers linked to the Discord server you run it in.

Commands#

/farm members [farm] Everyone

Who the server's save lists on your farm, its farm managers and when they last played.

  • farm text, optional — Which farm, if you have more than one.
/farm task add <title> [details] [farm] Everyone

Add a task for your farm team.

  • title text — What needs doing, e.g. Harvest field 12.
  • details text, optional — Anything the team should know.
  • farm text, optional — Which farm, if you have more than one.
/farm task done <task> Everyone

Mark one of your farm team's tasks as done.

  • task text — The task you finished.
/farm tasks [farm] Everyone

Show your farm team's open tasks.

  • farm text, optional — Which farm, if you have more than one.
/farm view [farm] [share] Everyone

Show your farm: money, fields, machines, animals and urgent jobs.

  • farm text, optional — Which farm, if you have more than one.
  • share true/false, optional — Post it in this channel for everyone instead of only you.

Anyone can use these. Only you see the reply, unless you turn on share for /farm view.

What each command does#

/farm tasksYour farm team's open tasks and who they're assigned to.
/farm task addAdds a task for your team. Give it a title, and details if you like.
/farm task doneMarks a task as done. Start typing and pick it from the list.

If you have more than one farm here, pick one with the farm option. It lists your farms as you type.

What you see depends on your server's settings#

  • Money only shows if staff show money to players on FarmLink Manage. Server managers always see it.
  • Sections staff hide from players (fields, machines, animals, productions and storage) are left out.
  • Only your farm's team can add or finish tasks. Players who just follow a farm on an "open" server can view it but not change tasks.
  • Field states need the FSG Server Companion mod on the server.

Tasks you add or finish here show up in FarmLink on the website and in the app straight away. If the server has a Farm Tasks Channel (see More Discord alerts), the bot posts them there too.

Troubleshooting#

"Sign in on the FarmSimGame website with your Discord account..."#

The bot couldn't find a website account for your Discord. Sign in on the website with Discord once, then try again.

"You don't have an approved farm on this community's servers yet."#

Claim your farm in FarmLink. A server manager has to approve it before it shows here.

"Only this farm's team can change its tasks and notes."#

You follow this farm but aren't on its team. Ask a server manager to approve your claim for it.
