Every modding team gets its own page at farmsimgame.com/Modder/@yourname: a small website for
your fans. Pick a theme and colours, add a banner and logo, show what you're building with a
progress bar and roadmap, post updates, ask your players in polls and let them suggest and vote
on ideas, and talk with them in your own chat right on the page. Players can follow your team to
hear about new posts, polls, releases and announcements. Everything on it is free for everyone.
Before you start#
- You need Modder access and a team. See Becoming a ModBarn modder.
- Any team member can edit the page, its projects, posts, polls and ideas. Only the team leader can change the page's address.
- Your page exists from the start with a free address based on your team name. It shows your mods, team and links straight away, and sections with nothing in them hide themselves.
GIANTS' rules allow voluntary support only. Nothing on your page is locked behind fan support: posts, polls, projects, ideas and every file are open to everyone. Supporters get recognition (the supporters wall and a badge), never access.
Set it up#
The editor is on the left and a Live preview of your page on the right (below on smaller screens). Use the phone button to see it on a phone.
Pick a Theme, then change the Accent colour, Heading font, Corners, Layout and Background if you like. Upload a Banner (about 2400 × 600) and a square Logo. Look changes save as you make them, and your theme colours the whole page, scrollbars included.
Under the banner you can add a Background video that plays muted on a loop behind your header: MP4 or WebM, up to 75 MB. The smaller the better, because everyone who opens your page downloads it, often on a phone. Aim for 5 to 15 seconds, 1920 × 1080 or smaller, no sound, under 10 MB if you can. Keep a banner image too: players who turn off motion or save data see it instead, and a pause button sits in the corner of the header.
Add a Tagline, any Status badges (for example Looking for testers), an Announcement bar, a Featured mod, your Discord invite and your About text, then press Save header.
Drag sections (or use the arrows) into the order you want, switch off any you don't want, give them your own titles and choose Main or Sidebar for each. Press Save layout.
Text, video, gallery, buttons, FAQ, a callout, a Countdown or a Schedule. New blocks appear on the Sections tab, where you place them.
Use Copy link at the top of any Your Page screen.

Socials and sharing#
Add your links in My Teams › Edit Team › Websites and socials (team leader). YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, Bluesky, GitHub, Kick and Discord links show as icons in your header and as buttons in the Socials & sharing section; other sites (your website, Ko-fi...) show as plain links there.
Players can share your page, each project and each update: Copy link (to paste in Discord), X, Facebook, Reddit, Bluesky, WhatsApp and email, plus Share on phones, which opens the phone's own share menu. Shared links show your logo, banner or the project's cover image.
Countdown and schedule blocks#
- Countdown counts down to a date and time: a release, a stream, a test weekend. Pick the moment in your own time zone; players see it in theirs. Add text and a button if you like. It hides itself a week after the date.
- Schedule lists upcoming dates, each with what happens and an optional link. Past dates drop off by themselves, and the block hides when nothing is left.
Projects#
Open Your Page › Projects and press New project. Give it a name, a one-line summary, a Status (Idea, Planning, In progress, Testing, Almost ready, Released, Paused, Cancelled), a type, game and an optional Target, a description and up to 10 screenshots (the first is the cover). You can also add:
- a Status note: one line on where it stands, like Waiting on GIANTS testing;
- the Platform: PC, or PC & console;
- Credits: who helped, like another team or an artist.
Once saved, list the steps in the Roadmap: tick a step when it's done, or set it to Working on. With Work out progress from the roadmap on, done steps count fully and steps you're working on count half. Turn it off to set the progress yourself.
To add many steps at once, paste your to-do list, one step per line. Start a line with [x] if
it's already done or [~] if you're working on it. Give steps an Area (Modelling, Textures,
Animations, Lights, XML & scripts, Sounds, Map work, Translations, Store & icons, Testing) and
the project page shows how far along each area is.
On your page, every card shows its next three steps and when it was last updated (a green dot means this week). The project page lists the roadmap with areas and the steps you finished most recently.
When the mod is out, set Status to Released and pick it under Released as. Your followers get a notice and the project page links to the download.
A roadmap for a mod that's already out#
For the next update to one of your mods, choose This project is: An update to one of our mods,
pick the mod under Update for and fill in the Target version (for example 1.3.0.0). The
project shows as Roadmap: what's next for this mod on that mod's page, with its progress and
next steps, and as Coming next on your Changelog tab. When you publish that version of the
mod, the project is marked Released by itself and your followers get a notice.
Your Changelog tab lists every version you've published with its "What's new", and each mod's page has its own changelog.
Posts#
Your Page › Posts › New post. Pick a kind (Update, Devlog, Sneak peek, Release, News, Help wanted), write a title and post, add up to 8 images and a YouTube video, and link it to a project to show it there too. Save draft keeps it to your team; Publish puts it on your page and, the first time, tells your followers if Tell our followers when it's published is on.
Formatting works in posts, About, projects and text blocks: **bold**, *italic*,
[link text](https://...), and lines starting with ## (heading), - (list), 1. (numbered)
or > (quote).
Polls and ideas#
On Your Page › Polls & Ideas, start a poll with 2 to 10 answers. Choose when it closes and when players see results: After voting, Always or When it closes. Players can change their vote until it closes. Link it to a project to show it on that project.
Players post ideas and upvote them from the Community tab (up to 5 ideas a day per player). Give an idea a status (Thinking about it, Planned, In the works, Done, Not planned), a short reply and a project; the player who posted it gets a notice when its status changes. Hide from players keeps it off your page. Switch the board off for new ideas with Take ideas from players on the ideas board on the Header tab.
Chat#
Your page has a Chat tab: a chat with channels, like a small Discord server. Players join once and are in every channel. The chat also shows in the FSG app and on the Messages page.
Set it up in Modder Tools › Your Page › Chat:
- Channels: every team starts with #announcements, #general and #help. Rename them, give them an emoji and a topic, reorder them, delete them (except your main channel) or add your own, up to 8.
- Only the team posts here makes a channel like #announcements: players read and react but can't post. Anyone can read it, even before joining.
- Tell followers when we post sends your followers a notice when the team posts in a team-only channel, at most one every half hour.
- Mod channels: every mod you publish gets its own channel under Mods, for questions and bug reports about that mod. The Questions & bug reports button on the mod's page opens it. Players join a mod channel when they open it, so they only follow the mods they use. You can rename them and change the emoji and topic.
- Welcome and rules is the text players see before they join.
In the chat, the team leader is the Owner and every team member is a Mod. Mods can delete messages, pin them (point at a message and press the pin; the pin button at the top lists them), and click a name in the member list to time someone out or ban them. Timeouts and bans count in every channel. Players can report messages to FSG staff.
Following#
Players press Follow on your page. They get a notice on the website and an email (category Modders You Follow) when you publish a post with notify on, start a poll with Tell our followers on, release a project or post in a chat channel with Tell followers when we post on. They also see your posts under Modders › Following. A follower who doesn't want the emails presses the envelope next to Following on your page (website notices keep coming), or turns off all modder emails under Account › Notifications. Emails go out within a few minutes, and nobody gets more than a few an hour.
Troubleshooting#
My page says only my team can see it#
Staff hid the page (their note shows at the top), or a team member is under review. Open a modder ticket if you think it's a mistake.
The preview didn't change#
Press the reload button above the preview. Sections and blocks only change after Save layout or Save block.
Change address stays greyed out#
The address is checked as you type. The button only works when the new address is free and different from your current one; the line under the box says why it isn't.
I changed the address and old links broke#
Links to ModTeam/{id} always find your page; links with the old @name don't. Change it back
on the Address tab if you need to.
