Welcome images
Post a welcome image card for every new member, with their name, avatar and member number on your own custom background. A Premium feature.
On this page
A welcome image is a picture card the bot draws for each new member and posts in a channel you choose. It shows the new member's name and avatar on a background, so every join gets its own eye-catching image. Upload your own backgrounds, such as a screenshot of your farm or your server's logo art, and the bot picks one at random for each new member.
Before you start#
Welcome images need Premium on this server. Without it, the Welcome image page explains the feature and links to the supporter details instead of showing the settings. See Premium.
- The welcome image is posted on its own, separate from your welcome message. You can use one, the other or both, in the same channel or different ones.
- If a channel is missing from the list, run
/setupin Discord, choose Update Channels and Roles for Website, then reload the page.
Set it up#
It's under Welcome in the sidebar.
In Welcome Image Settings, choose your Welcome Image Channel and click Update Bot Settings.
In Custom Welcome Image Background, choose a file in Custom Welcome Image, then click Upload New Welcome Image. Without your own background, the bot uses the Farm Sim Game background.
How it looks in Discord shows a sample card on your newest background. Your uploads are listed under Welcome Images.
Update Bot Settings and Upload New Welcome Image belong to the same form. Either one saves the channel and uploads the file you picked, if any.
Settings explained#
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome Image Channel | Where the bot posts the card when someone joins. Leave it on Disabled - Select Channel to Enable to turn welcome images off. | Disabled |
| Custom Welcome Image | Adds a background. JPEG, PNG or GIF, under 5 MB. Every upload is converted to 1772×663 pixels, so a picture with a different shape looks stretched. | — |
| Welcome Images | Your uploaded backgrounds. Click the trash button to delete one (you're asked to confirm). | — |
You can keep up to 10 backgrounds. At 10, the file picker is greyed out until you delete one. Explicit images are deleted without warning.
Make your background exactly 1772×663 pixels so nothing is stretched.
How the card is made#
Each time a member joins, the bot builds a fresh 1772×663 card:
- Background. One of your uploaded backgrounds, picked at random. With none uploaded, it uses the Farm Sim Game background.
- Border. A frame around the card in your server's embed color from Bot settings.
- Layout. The bot picks one of Farm Sim Game's card layouts at random. Depending on the layout, the card shows "Welcome to", your server name, the member's username, a line like "You're our 1234th member", the member's avatar in a circle and your server icon.
The card is posted as an image (welcomeImage.png) with no extra text.
The preview under How it looks in Discord uses your newest background, one of the layouts, your own name and avatar, and a sample member number (1234th). The real card uses the new member's details and your embed color for the border.
With Premium, a Components welcome message can show this same card inside a card, next to your text and buttons. See Welcome messages.
Troubleshooting#
When the bot can't post the card, it writes the reason to Bot Error Logs on your dashboard's main page.
No image is posted when someone joins#
- Check this server has Premium and a Welcome Image Channel is saved.
- Welcome Image Channel with "The welcome image channel was deleted, is not a text channel, or the bot cannot see it": pick the channel again and save.
- Welcome Image Channel with "Unable to send images in server channel.": give the bot View Channel, Send Messages and Attach Files in that channel.
- Welcome Image with another message: the card couldn't be drawn or sent, and the message is the reason. Try again with the next join, or upload a different background.
My upload failed#
"Error Uploading Server Image. Make sure the image size is 1772x663." appears when the file isn't a JPEG, PNG or GIF, or is 5 MB or bigger. The picture's width and height don't stop an upload: any size is resized to 1772×663.
I can't pick a file to upload#
You already have 10 backgrounds. Delete one in Welcome Images, then upload again.
The image looks stretched#
Your picture isn't 1772×663 (a wide 8:3 shape). Crop it to that size before uploading.
The preview looks different each time#
Layouts and backgrounds are picked at random, so the preview and each new member's card can differ.
