Embed builder
Build rich embeds for rules, info and reaction role channels on the website. The bot posts them and keeps them updated whenever you save.
On this page
The embed builder lets you design a rich embed on the website and have the bot post it in your Discord server. It's ideal for rules, server info, how-to-join guides and reaction role messages. The best part: the bot keeps the same message. Edit the embed on the dashboard, save, and the post in Discord updates in place, so links to it and its reactions stay.
Before you start#
- How many embeds you can have depends on your supporter tier (see Limits).
- If a channel is missing from the list, run
/setupin Discord, choose Update Channels and Roles for Website, then reload the page.
Set it up#
It's under Automation & alerts in the sidebar.
In Embed Messages, choose the channel under Channels and click Create new Embed. The editor opens. Nothing is posted yet.
Add a Title, Description, Color and anything else you want. How it looks in Discord shows the embed as you type.
Under Embed Fields, type a Name and Value, tick Inline to put fields side by side, and click Add field for more.
Click Save Embed For Bot to Display. The bot posts the embed in your channel within about a minute.
The page reminds you: when you first create an embed, save twice so the full embed (with all its fields) gets pushed to Discord.

| Url | Makes the title a link. Must be a full web address. | 256 characters |

Every embed also shows the time it was last posted or updated at the bottom.
Links in Url, Thumbnail, Author Url and Author Icon must be full web addresses, like
https://www.farmsimgame.com/. The bot leaves out anything that isn't a valid link.
Embed fields#
| Setting | What it does | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name | The field's bold heading. | 256 characters |
| Value | The field's text. Supports Discord markdown. | 1,024 characters |
| Inline | Shows the field next to other inline fields instead of on its own row. | — |
| Delete | Removes the field. Saved fields are deleted right away after you confirm, and the embed in Discord updates. | — |
A field needs both a Name and a Value, or the bot leaves it out. An embed can have up to 25 fields.
Discord markdown#
The Discord Markdown Text card on the editor lists what you can use in the Description and field values:
| Type this | To get |
|---|---|
[FarmSimGame](https://www.FarmSimGame.com/) | A link |
*italics* | italics |
**bold** | bold |
***bold italics*** | bold italics |
__underline__ | underlined text |
~~Strikethrough~~ | ~~Strikethrough~~ |
> blockquote | A quote line |
How posting works#
The bot checks for new and changed embeds about once a minute (it skips the check at the top of each hour).
- New embed: after your first save, the bot posts it in the channel and remembers the message.
- Edited embed: each save marks the embed for an update. The bot edits its existing message, so the message link and any reactions on it stay the same.
- Deleted embed: clicking the trash button in Active Embeds (and confirming) removes it from the list. The bot then deletes its message from Discord.
The Active Embeds list shows each embed's Channel, Message ID, Title and status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Creating New Embed | Created but not saved yet. Open it, fill it in and save. |
| Good | Posted or updated in Discord. |
| Unknown | Saved, waiting for the bot to post or update it. |
| Embed Error | The bot couldn't post or update it. See Troubleshooting. |
| Unable to find or post in channel. | The channel was deleted or the bot can't see it. |
Click the pencil button to edit an embed. The editor shows the channel and message ID the bot will update.
Examples#
Server rules#
- Title:
📜 Server Rules - Color: a green that matches your farm
- Description:
Welcome to the farm! Please follow these rules so everyone has a good time.- Fields (not inline):
| Name | Value |
|---|---|
1. Be respectful | No harassment, hate speech or drama. |
2. Ask before you work a field | Check **#field-jobs** or ask a farm manager first. |
3. Don't sell other players' equipment | Only sell what you bought. |
- Footer:
Breaking the rules may lead to a warning or ban.
Post your role menu as an embed, then copy its Message ID from Active Embeds and use it on the Reaction roles page. Because the bot edits the same message, the reactions stay when you update the text.
Limits#
The embed builder works on every tier. Higher supporter tiers can have more embeds:
| Tier | Embeds |
|---|---|
| Free | 3 |
| Bronze | 5 |
| Silver | 10 |
| Gold | 25 |
| Platinum and Diamond | Unlimited |
When you reach your limit, the channel picker and Create new Embed button are hidden. Deleted embeds don't count. See Premium or the supporter plans.
Troubleshooting#
The embed never shows up#
- New embeds aren't posted until you save. Open the embed (status Creating New Embed) and click Save Embed For Bot to Display.
- Give it a minute. The bot checks about once a minute.
- Check the bot has Send Messages in the channel. Bot Error Logs on your dashboard shows Embed Create if it can't post.
Changes don't show in Discord#
- The bot needs Manage Messages in the channel to update the embed. Bot Error Logs shows Embed Update if it's missing.
- If you deleted the embed's message in Discord yourself, the bot can't edit it any more and the status becomes Embed Error. Delete the embed on the dashboard and create a new one.
Some fields are missing#
- Each field needs both a Name and a Value.
- After creating a new embed, save a second time.
Fields don't sit side by side#
The Inline boxes show unticked when the editor loads, and when you add or delete a field. Tick Inline on each field you want side by side just before you click Save Embed For Bot to Display.
The embed wasn't deleted from Discord#
The bot needs Manage Messages in the channel to delete it. If it's missing, Bot Error Logs shows Embed Delete. Delete the message in Discord yourself.
