Getting started#
Is Farm Sim Game free?#
Yes. The bot, the dashboard and most features are free. Premium comes from an optional supporter tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond) that you put on one community. See Supporter details for the plans.
What does Premium add?#
Higher limits and a few extras. For example, the free plan allows 1 game server, 3 embeds, 3 timed messages, 3 applications, 5 YouTube channels, 5 auto responses and 10 reaction roles, and higher tiers raise these. Premium also unlocks custom game server messages, player, equipment and admin tracking, the live stats embed, welcome images, farm stats, playtime roles, the power manager and a custom bot, depending on the tier. The full table is on Premium.
Which Farming Simulator versions are supported?#
Farming Simulator 25, Farming Simulator 22 and Farming Simulator 19. You pick the Game Version when you add your game server, and you can change it later on the server's edit page. Your server needs a dedicated server Link XML so the bot can read its stats.
Can I use the bot without a game server?#
Yes. Welcome messages, moderation, logs, tickets, applications, reaction roles, auto responses, timed
messages and the other Discord features work without one. Only the
game server tools need a linked server. If none is linked, /game
replies "This discord currently does not have any Game Servers setup."
What permissions do I need?#
To add the bot, Discord needs you to have Manage Server. To manage the server on the website you
need to be its owner, or have Administrator or Manage Server. To run /setup you need
Administrator. See Bot permissions.
Does the bot need Administrator?#
Not for most features. The Add Farm Sim Game to your server button only asks for Manage
Server, so add the permissions each feature needs to the bot's role. /setup and /botinfo only
run when the bot has Administrator. Inviting from My Communities asks for Administrator.
See What the bot asks for.
Can my moderators use the bot's commands?#
Yes. Most commands are for Administrators until you allow other roles in
Command roles. /bump, /bumps, /game, /help, /ping and
/playtime work for everyone.
How it works#
How often does the data update?#
| What | How often |
|---|---|
| Online game servers (status, players, joins and leaves) | Every 60 seconds. Set Web API Interval [sec] to 60 on your dedicated server. |
| Offline game servers | Every minute at first, then less often. The bot stops checking after 48 hours offline. |
| Savegame scan (farms, weather, new player IDs) | Every 30 minutes, at :00 and :30 |
| Players Online channel name | With each server update, within Discord's limit of 2 renames every 10 minutes |
| Overall Playtime channel name | Once an hour |
| YouTube alerts | Every 5 minutes |
| Embed builder, reaction roles, bot nickname | Within about a minute of saving |
Can I run the bot under my own name and avatar?#
Yes, with a custom bot. It needs Gold or higher. You create the bot in Discord's Developer Portal and paste its Application ID and Token on the Custom bot page. For just a different name in your server, set a free Bot Name in Bot settings.
What happens if I remove the bot?#
The website marks the bot as no longer active in that server, and the server shows greyed out on My Communities until you add the bot again.
Does it work with console servers?#
Yes. The bot reads any dedicated server through its Link XML, and the savegame scan reads the base game's own save files, so farm stats, fields, contracts, prices, Discord names in alerts and playtime roles all work on console servers. The FSG Server Companion mod is a script mod and PC only; it adds exact field sizes and a few extra farm details where it's installed.
Your data#
How do I delete my account?#
Go to Account → Delete Account on the website, type DELETE and click Delete my account.
- You're signed out everywhere and hidden from FarmLink straight away.
- After 7 days your account is erased. Sign in again before then to cancel.
- Chat messages you sent stay, shown as Deleted user. Billing records are kept, as the Privacy Policy describes.
- You can't delete the account while you have an active supporter subscription, lead a ModBarn team or have published ModBarn mods. The page tells you what to sort out first.
How do I get my Discord bot data deleted?#
Bot data belongs to each Discord server. To have your bot data deleted, or a server's data after removing the bot, email privacy@sargentinteractive.com or open a support ticket in the FSG Discord or on the website. See the Privacy Policy.
Getting help#
Where can I get help?#

- The FSG Discord, where staff and the community can help.

/helpin any server with the bot shows links to the website and the support Discord.
