Community Support Terms

These Community Support Terms explain how players support communities on FarmSimGame.com. They are part of our Terms and Conditions and are offered by Sargent Interactive LLC ("Sargent Interactive", "we", "us"), which runs FarmSimGame.com. "Community" means a Discord server with a community page on Farm Sim Game. "Owner" means the owner of that Discord server, who sets up support. "Supporter" means anyone who sends support to a community. Supporters agree to these Terms by ticking the box before paying; Owners agree when they set up support.

In short: support is a voluntary thank-you to the people who run a community. It buys nothing: no in-game advantages and no special access. Payments go to the Owner's own Stripe account, not to us; we keep a platform fee. Owners handle their own taxes and refunds. This is separate from FSG Supporter memberships, which support Farm Sim Game itself.

Part A. For everyone

1. What Community Support is

• Community Support lets you send money to a community as a thank-you for its servers, events and the work of the people who run it: a monthly supporter subscription or a one-time payment (when available).
• It is completely separate from FSG Supporter subscriptions (Bronze to Diamond), which pay Sargent Interactive for features on Farm Sim Game. Supporting a community gives you no FSG Supporter features.

2. Support buys nothing

• Supporters get recognition only: a supporter badge in the community's chat on Farm Sim Game, a place on its supporters wall (if they choose), and the community's thanks.
• Support never buys in-game money, items, vehicles, land, admin or moderator rights, a place in a queue, a reserved slot, or access to a server, a channel or anything else, on Farm Sim Game or anywhere else. Playing on a community's servers and taking part in its chat stay the same whether or not you support it.

3. Who receives the money

• Each payment is charged directly to the Owner's own Stripe account, and the Owner is the recipient of the payment. Sargent Interactive provides the website and the payment tools and receives a platform fee (a percentage of each payment, shown to the Owner during setup), which Stripe sends to us automatically when the payment is made. Stripe's own processing fee also comes out of the Owner's share. We never hold or pay out an Owner's money.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Support payments are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible. They are not a purchase of goods or services.

Part B. For Supporters

4. Supporter subscriptions

• Automatic renewal. A supporter subscription renews automatically every month on the same date, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize the charge to your payment method each month until you cancel.
• Cancelling. Cancel any time on the My Support page. Cancelling stops all future charges; you stay a supporter until the end of the month you already paid for.
• Price. The price of your tier never changes. If a community archives a tier, your subscription continues at the same price until you cancel.
• If a community stops support. If the community switches support off, or we do, no further charges are made and your supporter status lasts until the end of the period you paid for.
• Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment.

5. One-time support

• A one-time payment is charged once, for the amount you choose. You can add a short message and choose whether your name appears on the community's supporters wall.

6. Refunds

• Because support is voluntary and buys nothing, payments are generally not refundable. The community that received a payment may refund it at its discretion; ask its staff in its chat on Farm Sim Game.
• We will refund, or require the Owner to refund, a payment that was charged in error (such as a duplicate charge), made without your permission, or made to a community that broke these Terms, and any refund applicable consumer law requires. Email terms@sargentinteractive.com if you can't reach the community.
• Please contact the community or us before disputing a charge with your bank. If a payment is reversed through a chargeback, the supporter status it paid for ends.

7. Age

• If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to pay, and they agree to these Terms for you.

8. What the community sees

• The Owner sees your Farm Sim Game display name, your tier and when you started, unless you hide your name from the supporters wall (then you show as "Anonymous" in their list).
• Because the payment is made to the Owner's Stripe account, Stripe gives the Owner the payment details it needs for its records, such as your name, email address and the amount. See our Privacy Policy.

Part C. For Owners

9. Who can receive support

• You must own the community's Discord server, the community must have an FSG Supporter tier, and you must be at least 18 years old and able to open a Stripe account in your country. You agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement when you connect your Stripe account, and to the monetization documents of Sargent Interactive's billing service shown during setup.
• The information you give us and Stripe must be true and kept up to date.

10. Keeping support a thank-you

• You must not give anything listed in section 2 in return for support, on Farm Sim Game or anywhere else (your Discord server, your game servers, your website or any other place), and you must follow the rules of GIANTS Software, Discord and your server host.
• Supporter tiers are thank-you levels only. Tier names, descriptions and your pitch must not promise anything in return, and must not say support is charitable or tax-deductible.

11. Fees

• Our platform fee is a percentage of each payment, shown on the Fan support page in Manage Discord and taken automatically when the payment is made. Stripe's processing fees also come out of your share; you can see them in your Stripe dashboard and the revenue report on the Fan support page.
• We may change the platform fee with at least 30 days' notice. A new fee only applies to payments made after it takes effect.

12. Taxes

• Support paid to you is your income. You are solely responsible for reporting it and for any taxes on it, including income tax, self-employment tax, and any sales tax, VAT or GST that may apply where you live, and for any registrations those require. You confirm this in a tax responsibility statement during setup.
• Stripe verifies your identity and tax details and may send you tax forms (for example a Form 1099-K or 1099 in the United States). Sargent Interactive does not collect your tax number and does not withhold taxes, except where the law requires it.
• Sargent Interactive is responsible only for the taxes on its own platform fee.

13. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks

• Payments are made to your Stripe account, so refunds, disputes and chargebacks are yours to handle and are charged to your Stripe account, as set out in Stripe's terms. You can refund payments from your Stripe dashboard.
• You authorize us to refund payments made to you in the cases listed in section 6.

14. Payouts

• Stripe pays your balance to your bank account on its own schedule. Stripe may delay, hold or reserve funds under its terms; we have no control over that.

15. Staff and ownership

• Support for a community is paid to the Stripe account of the Owner who set it up. Sharing it with the community's staff is between you and them.
• If the Discord server changes owner, the new owner must set support up again with their own Stripe account. We may switch off support connected to a former owner.

16. Switching support off

• You can switch support off at any time on the Fan support page. Renewals then stop at the end of each supporter's paid period; nothing is refunded automatically. If the community's FSG Supporter tier ends, its support box leaves the page and no new supporters can sign up.
• We may switch off support for a community, or remove its tiers or pitch, if it breaks these Terms, if we receive a credible complaint, if there are signs of fraud or unusual numbers of disputes, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we tell you why.

17. Your responsibility

• You will cover Sargent Interactive's reasonable costs and losses from claims caused by your support activities, including claims by Supporters, rights holders or tax authorities, except where we caused them. This adds to section 12 of our Terms and Conditions.

Part D. General

• Changes. We'll give Owners at least 30 days' notice of material changes and may ask you to accept the new version before you can keep receiving support. Changes never affect a payment already made.
• Our Terms and Conditions cover everything else, including limits of liability and governing law.
